From Sister Emmerich writings here you will read in detail about the resurrection and how the apostles gather together. Isn't it beautiful that Jesus showed us the way to salvation and love. It definitely is love for us that he died on the cross, remember he was totally sinless and divine yet he chose to die for our sins so if you think again instead of us being on the cross for our sins he chose to exchange his life for us yet he pleaded with his Father to forgive those who persecuted him. This is salvation, this is mercy, this is love, this is compassion, this is Jesus showing us the way to the Father.
