This is what I learnt from Chartnexus FB Live sessions. Stocks expecting good results will start to move at least 1 month before result announcement. Once the result has been announced, it tend to run for about 1 week and then go into consolidation mode till next earnings season. In between the earning seasons, a lot of noises like Trade War etc will cause the movement. If you expect the coming earning season to be good, you shud buy the dip caused by the noises.

This explains why AEM cannot move up and VicPlas keep moving up..
