Our folly and misdirection

Our folly and misdirection
We all have our life struggles each day and none of us is exempted from the ups and downs of life and all its battles. We have so much to accomplish each day in the family, work or society. But who do we rely on to withstand the trials and challenges of life? What is it that will keep us focused on seeking the right things in life? Most times our misery and suffering could be due to our folly and misdirected goals in life. Many of us when it comes to our self-interests and greed, we would do anything to destroy others.

As Christians instead of looking to Christ for direction, encouragement, inspiration and hope, we look towards the world. Whenever we are faced with a problem or a dilemma we tend to imitate the celebrities in the world and look for worldly instant solution. Our model and mentor is not Jesus Christ but some media entertainment star or political leader. Many of us do not live out their lives as disciples of Jesus Christ and are counter-witnesses to the gospel.

This is the sad truth in our ever competitive and secular world.
